I have this version, I do have to say that it is a good solid heavy gun... It doesnt feel cheap at all. BUT and this is a biggggggg but it DOESNT take ANY vsr-10 parts... i pulled it apart yesterday and attempted to put in some vsr parts i had laying around, to upgrade it a little bit, and nothing fit. the only piece that did fit was the trigger mech but other than that you'll need to get pss96 parts cause for example the cylinder is smaller and longer, also the hop up is further down the barrel so no longer barrels.
So all in all if it were not for the VSR-10 parts lie then I would have given it a full 5

Michael... the rifle is heavy... about ten pounds. If you have some muscles, you should be fine. I don't use a strap, and the one it comes with is garbage. This is louder than a standard spring pistol or rifle. It sounds like a .177 pellet rifle to me.

It gets more like 450 FPS with .20g and 390 with .25g's. Use .2's - more accuracy and speed. For the casual sniper, I recommend this rifle highly. For someone who wants a sniper rifle with a ton of potential, get the JG or Matrix VSR10.

lol well Zach, given its a sniper rifle...I would say yeah definitely get a scope. If you didn't, that's too bad, but buying the scope with the gun is a good idea, buying the scope and bipod is even better. Thats a steal there..The scope and bipod and very good quality...the package you can get with this gun is a perfect sniper's kit.

WOW! I got this a few days ago, and I am impressed! It definitely shoots over 400 FPS, but I'm not sure about 500... Be sure to use heavy BB's with this; I use .25g with hop-up OFF and the BB's go up, up, and away... It's spot-on accurate with the heavier BB's - I split a flower stem at about 40 feet away in one shot! And don't lose the hex wrenches it comes with, some of the screws on mine come loose :( Feel free and ask me any questions over Xbox Live - my Gamertag is Zombo Marauder.

Bradley, this is a single shot, bolt action sniper rifle. So it's spring. Not too many AEG sniper rifles out there. Good sniper rifle if you're thinking about purchasing it.

I just would like to know if the rifle is a spring rifle or is it AEG.

Hey Sam, the scope they offer is manufactured by leaper's or UTG. All scopes from this manufacture are equally as good as the other, and offer clarity and diversity that you won't find elsewhere for the price range. They make different sizes to accommodate for different types of rifles and mounts. For Ex: My JG dragunov needed a 12' scope minimal because of how far-forward the mount begins on the gun. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't buy a different scope, they all do the same thing, but if you'd like, you can look into getting an illuminated mil-dot scope for night or twilight shooting. They're about 60bucks and look sick as hell.

I got this got in about 2 weeks ago and I love it. The sope and bi-pod are excellent additions to this sniper rifle and for an excellent price. The gun is really accurate, but not as cosistent as I would have liked. But, then again, that could be because of a number of things (quality of bbs, wind, etc). I personally think the bolt action is just plain fun. The gun is pretty hefty too; gives it that realistic feel. Once I upgrade this, this, I feel, is going to be a beast. Excellent sniper rifle. I recommend!!!
