Description:
The SVD (Russian: Снайперская винтовка Драгунова, Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova, lit. "Dragunov sniper rifle") is a semi-automatic sniper rifle designed by the Soviet Union and entered into service in 1963. In China, the SVD was produced under license as the Type 79 and later the Type 85. Many variations of this well-known rifle have seen service all over the globe in conflicts large and small.

Real Sword has faithfully reproduced the SVD using many of the real firearms manufacturing techniques. The special receiver of the Real Sword SVD is made of forged steel. It is then CNC machined and finally heat-treated to give it added strength. The RS-T3 reinforced gearbox is unique to the Real Sword SVD. Real Sword engineers have produced a high torque gearbox with a longer, higher capacity cylinder. This combination allows the Real Sword SVD to accommodate a 690mm inner barrel without any noticeable loss in muzzle velocity. In the right hands the Real Sword SVD is a formidable airsoft sniper rifle.
